Task/Problem Overview

This document will cover how to cancel and delete orders in Savance Enterprise. This includes Orders (converted Quotes), Purchase Orders (Converted RFQ's), Return Merchandise Authorizations (converted Return Requests), and a Return To Vendors (converted Vendor Returns). The process for canceling and deleting is the same for each of these types, so all the examples will be for a quote/order.

Deleting Uncoverted Quotes, & RFQ’s

You'll notice that if you open a quote, you cannot cancel it from the History tab. A quote is not actually applied until it is converted, so there is nothing to cancel. But rather, you can delete a quote if necessary. To do so, click Open to search for the quote. Simply select the quote and click Delete.

Canceling Converted Order, PO’s or RTV’s

The process for deleting an Order is a little bit different. You'll notice that it cannot be deleted by selecting it from the Open window and clicking Delete. Instead, you will need to open the order and go to the History tab. Click the Cancel Order, RMA, PO or RTV button to cancel the record permanently.

Upon canceling, a popup window will appear, “Are you sure you wish to cancel and reverse this entire Order? THIS ACTION CANNOT BE UNDONE.

Please note that you can still cancel an order even when a shipper has been shipped, invoiced, and paid for. However, if there has been a payment, you will be asked to refund the payment first, if necessary.

Canceling Converted RMA’s

After opening an already converted RMA, just like in an order you will need to go to the History Tab, and select Cancel RMA. All orders will show a RED BAR at top indicating that it is CANCELLED.

If a refund has already been issued, then you will not be able to cancel the RMA. If you do try to cancel it, you will see the following message.

So if you’ve received the money back from the customer you will need to void the transaction and then you will be allowed to cancel the order.
